What to do in Marrakech?

Marrakech is a unique city, completely different from any other. Sightseeing in Marrakech is a new and fascinating sensory experience: the colours, flavours and scents you breathe in from the moment you land will stay with you for weeks after you get home.

Marrakech offers its visitors both cultural visits and fun.

Jemaa el-Fna square is the most important place in the city, the centre of public life for the people of Marrakech.

From Marrakech you can also take day trips to nearby places such as Essaouira, the Ouzoud waterfalls and the Ourika valley.

Palm groves and gardens

Marrakech has beautiful gardens and vast palm groves. The best known are:

The Menara gardens have been part of the city since time immemorial and are one of its most visited places.

The Majorelle garden, though less well known, is a much prettier and more colourful visit than the Menara.

Marrakech palm grove: with more than 100,000 palm trees, the palm grove is still a very special place and an economic driver for the city.

Golf courses

Enjoy the pleasures of golf all over Morocco. Moroccan golf courses let you take up the game or look for technical variety, on fairways overlooking the sea or greens at the foot of the Atlas.

The souk

The Marrakech souk, north of Jemaa el-Fna square, may be one of the best known in the world. Wandering through the souks is one of the favourite visits.
