Trip plan

Day 1: Ouarzazate
Pick-up at the airport and, depending on your arrival time, a visit of Ouarzazate, capital of the south and gateway to the great pre-Sahara, where travellers are gently prepared for the intense experience of the desert. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.
Day 2: Ouarzazate – Ouzina
After breakfast we head to Ouzina through the Draa Valley and its oasis. We stop at the Agdz viewpoint to photograph a beautiful panorama and admire the intense green of the lush vegetation against the blue sky. We continue to Zagora, where we stop to walk into the dense palm grove, the largest in Morocco and the richest in dates. We then take the famous Paris–Dakar track across arid yet fascinating desert landscapes, discovering small Berber villages with traditional mud-brick houses, until we reach Ouzina, a haven of peace and quiet for a well-deserved rest. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.
Day 3: Ouzina
After breakfast we walk to the village of Ouzina, 2 km away, and its association, where you can buy typical nomad products and enjoy a wonderful Berber tea. Lunch of a delicious Berber pizza and, if you wish, Berber henna designs… truly wonderful. In the afternoon we return to the hotel and ride dromedaries through the Ouzina dunes to watch the spectacular sunset. Accommodation in a Berber haima with dinner and breakfast.
Day 4: Ouzina – Khamlia – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges
After breakfast we set off again, stopping to see some rock-art caves, then on to Khamlia, a Black Berber community originally from Mali and Sudan, who share their culture through their dances and their traditional spiritual music called Gnawa. We stop in Rissani, capital of the Tafilalet region, to stroll through its souk and famous animal market. We follow the Ziz Valley to Erfoud to visit an old fossil quarry and see how the material is transformed into true works of art — tables, washbasins, decorative objects… In Tinghir we stop to photograph one of the most beautiful oases in the country, a landscape that always impresses travellers, then continue to the Todra Gorges. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast.
Day 5: Todra Gorges – Valley of Roses – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast we visit the impressive Todra Gorges, a landscape of rare beauty where a string of green oases is fed by the river of the same name. As we approach, the valley narrows: the Todra has carved a canyon with striking vertical walls up to 300 metres high, a climbers’ paradise. We continue through the Valley of Roses, famous for harvesting this flower and making cosmetics — soaps, perfumed oils, face and body creams… In Ouarzazate we visit the film studios where famous films such as Cleopatra and Gladiator were shot. In the afternoon we head to the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou (UNESCO World Heritage Site), one of the best preserved, whose charm takes us back to distant times. Return to Ouarzazate. Accommodation with dinner and breakfast. End of our services.
