Day Trip to Chefchaouen, the Blue Town

Set in a privileged spot at the foot of the Rif mountains, Chefchaouen is a town that has managed to combine tourism and authenticity perfectly. It is one of Morocco’s jewels.

After picking you up at your hotel or riad early in the morning, we head north to the Rif region, home to Chefchaouen, our destination.

Once in Chefchaouen (also known as Chaouen or Xauen) you will have 5 hours of free time to explore the town at your own pace.

In the medina, don’t miss Outa el-Hammam square (the heart of the town and the ideal place for lunch), the Great Mosque (with its unusual octagonal tower) and the Kasbah (with a garden, a museum and an art gallery).

Outside the medina, the best-known spot is the Ras el-Maa waterfall, where the sound of the water and the green hills offer a big breath of fresh air. Walk a little further for a beautiful panoramic view of the town.

We will be back in Fes around 19:00. The tour ends at your accommodation or wherever you like.
