Morocco is an ideal country for trekking, and one of the best ways to discover it is on foot, as its geography is made up of long mountain ranges of considerable altitude. The routes we offer are fully adaptable, both in length and in difficulty. Most can be adapted to one week and can also be done with children, as mules and dromedaries carry the luggage on our treks and can help carry people if needed.
The High Atlas, with several summits over four thousand metres, is the highest and longest range in North Africa. The Middle Atlas, with peaks over three thousand metres and heavy winter snowfall, is perhaps the least visited of Morocco’s mountain ranges despite its exceptional biodiversity. And the Rif range in the north is an isolated, little-visited region whose Mediterranean landscapes recall the Iberian Peninsula.
The Anti-Atlas and Jebel Saghro are great volcanic massifs at the gates of the Sahara; Jebel Siroua links the High Atlas and the Anti-Atlas, and Jebel Bani is a Saharan massif with rock carvings and mountain oases. The Atlantic coast offers cliffs, dunes by the sea, argan trees and fishing villages, and the Sahara desert all its ecosystems: ergs, regs, hammadas and oases. Treks can be done all over the country, adapted to each season.
